Need Player Search Help

During the registration period, I receive a number of emails from people with basically the same question or concern - "Hey, I want to sign up for a league - any league - but I don't have any team-mates".

Well, here is what I have suggested.

First, sign up to our wonderful 'spcurl' Yahoo Email list which currently has over 300 people also signed up.  The spcurl email list is CLOSED to the general public to post, and your email address can not be harvest by "spam-bots".  Most (if not all) of these are current members of the St. Paul Curling Club.  Then, once signed up (and you have received your validation message from me), post your request on-line.

Second, run the very useful program found under the MEMBERS section of the website called NEED PLAYER SEARCHThe program works best if you select the league you are interested in, and press the DISPLAY button.  For example, say you are interested in curling sometime on Friday Night as part of the Mixed curlers.  Select "All Mixed Leagues" from the drop-down selector, then DISPLAY:

For this example, the following members (who have already registered) will display:

Now, click the little binocular icon () and full details about WHY that member is listed will display.  Let's pick on Gregg Mueller as an example.  This then retrieves his registration, and when we scroll down, shows the following:

From the above, you can tell that this team has indicated they are "incomplete", and it looks like they are looking for one female at this point.  Now, scroll back up and make a note of Gregg Mueller phone numbers, and email addresses.

If team Mueller decides to accept you to his team, but sure to now REGISTER (or update your existing registration) with all of his listed team-mates.  Also remind team Mueller to add YOU to his list of team-mates so that the registration committee will now that he now has a complete team.
