SPCC ROCKS FOR SALE!

The club has ordered all new curling stones. We are selling the old stones from sheets one, two, seven and eight which are over eighty years old. We have ordered 128 Common Green Stones from the island of Ailsa Craig in Scotland. These are state of the art stones inserted with Blue Hone granite on both running surfaces. They are scheduled for delivery in August and should be in play next season.

Our old stones will be sold individually to SPCC members at a cost of $250 for decorative uses such as mantle pieces. They will be fitted with vintage chrome/Bakelite handles similar to the stone pictured on the right. They will lack the plastic cap and be of an older vintage. Please fill out the attached form and make immediate payment at the club. There are only 64 stones available and you must make payment to guarantee your stone. You will be able to pick up your stone as soon as the new rocks arrive. In the event the new stones are delayed we will start the season with the old ones.

Members have expressed great interest in our old stones and they won’t last long. Our new stones are quite costly and you are encouraged to donate more than the $250.00 to help off set the cost. This is your opportunity to add a great conversation piece to your home and own a part of our rich curling history.
