Otto Gutzmer, a dedicated member who was one of the original volunteers in the rehabilitation of the building died this morning September 12, 2005.  He and Jerry Gustafson originated the “summer work crew” and spent many summers updating the facility. In his later years he became the work crew cook providing meals to sometimes large groups of volunteers. He also prepared box lunches and fed the curlers on the “Goodwill” bus trip to Canada. He made sure that the Goodwill revelers had something to eat on there long bus trip. He was a soft spoken, gentle giant of a man and will be greatly missed by his fellow curlers. His daughter Barb is the current club treasurer and she continues his legacy as a hard working contributor to our club. Please check the Tuesday St. Paul papers for funeral details.
