The St Paul CC Junior Women’s curling team of Alex Carlson, Tabitha Peterson, Tara Peterson, and Sophie Brorson participated in the National Junior Championships in Duluth from January 28 – February 4.  The team put together a record of 4-3 in round robin play—which was good for a three way tie for second place.  The top four teams advanced to the semi-finals.  In the semi-finals, they were defeated 8-5 by the eventual champions from Wisconsin, who are coached by our own Dex. The girls would like to thank Nick Myers for his time and patience in coaching them.  They would also like to thank all the members for their support and words of encouragement.  Due to the generosity of the club and members, there were some funds left over after expenses and those funds will be given to the junior curling program here at our club.  Once again, thank you for your support and we hope that one year we can bring a National Junior Championship home to the SPCC. - Gaye
