Ranger Spiel

The Ranger Spiel is the Twin City Iron Rangers Association’s annual scholarship fundraiser.

Proceeds go to scholarships that are presented to students attending one of the following four Colleges:  Hibbing Community College; Mesabi Range Community & Technical College in Virginia; Vermillion Community College in Ely and Itasca Community College

in Grand Rapids.

Date:

Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7st.  First draws are Noon or 2pm on Saturday
Cost: Regular Entry Fee $200, by check made out to "TCIRA Ranger Spiel
Payment must accompany registration
Cut-Off Date for Registration: Official entry forms and payment must be mailed to the address below.  Then please email your entry form to RangerSpiel@gmail.com as well.  We encourage as many team entries as possible as the committee will consider how to expand the draw size if there is sufficient interest.  Paid entries received by January 9th will be given priority.  Teams gaining entry will be notified by phone or e-mail.  Entry fee for teams not accepted will be returned

Experience Level: All levels of Experience (Full Spiel)
Prizes:

First event winner gets something symbolic of the iron mining industry (shovels, pick axes, ball bearings). Other prizes are nominal and donated by individuals and businesses. Team prize drawings and raffle cap off a fun-filled Saturday night.

Draw Size: 32 Teams
Bonspiel Format: Four events; Open Spiel
Included: Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast.
